Pix 87 - I'm at a Wedding

We went to a wedding at Flowerfield in St. James, NY. It's a really nice place and the food was incredible. I was still stuffed when I woke up in the morning. The party went on all night. We left at 12:40 Am and they were still going strong. It was my first Puerto Rican wedding. Hopefully it won't be my last. We had a great time.

Today was my friend Lou's birthday. We happened to be in NY so we told him we'd meet up for lunch. He chose to go to Hooters and who am I to turn down a man's birthday wish.

As you can see from the picture, my son really enjoyed his visit.

Pix 83 - Baby's First Flight

My son took his first ever flight today. It was pretty cool. He had his own boarding pass and everything. We started him out right with the most important rule in traveling: Check in early to make sure you are in group A!

The excitement of his first flight proved to be too much. He fell asleep before takeoff. He was well behaved on the flight.
We're looking forward to our vacation. Do you know where we went? Here's a hint: Concrete jungle where dreams are made of. There's nothing you can't do. The streets will make you feel brand new. Big lights will inspire you.

For the older crowd, if you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere.

It's spring! Molly and I were enjoying the weather yesterday. Today was a crappy rainy day, but yesterday, when I took this picture was beautiful.

Pix 79 - Happy Birthday Jack

Yes, Jack's birthday was in January, but we haven't seen him until this weekend. We gave him Uno Moo. This is my hand after I got hit with a draw 2 skunk. We played 3 rounds and Jack won 2/3. Good job little man. See you in a few weeks for Easter.

I flushed out the hot water heater for the first time since we've been in the house. There wasn't much gunk, but here is a shot of what we had. I think the water softener is doing it's job.

I know I'm gonna get guff for this one, but this is today's post.
Now that my son is taking big boy baths, I am lost my private bathroom. We took the shower curtain down in his bathroom so I am now sharing the master bathroom/shower with my wife.

The master bathroom has a detachable shower head. Does anyone else do this:
Whenever I shower with a detachable shower head I start singing Grease 2 - T-Birds Prowlin'. I got the moves down, I sound good, but when I twirl the shower head around like Johnny Nogerelli does at the end of the number, it make a huge mess.

Am I the only one? Yes? NO?

I wanted to get the hat and the "I'm a McCutie" for my son to wear today, but unfortunately the wardrobe department did not approve. (Wardrobe department = my wife) I'm 1/4 Irish, that makes my son 1/8 Irish right?

Pix 74 - Beautiful day for a run

Well it was a beautiful day for a run, we went out with the jogging stroller, but then we stopped and talked a lot along the way. We were out for an hour and we didn't even make a mile! LOL I'll make up for it tomorrow.

This is my 2nd attempt at an artistic pix. This was my first artistic picture for those of you who missed it. My son took his first big boy bath. He loved it. He had so much fun that he passes out after only eating 2oz of his bedtime bottle.

Pix 70 - Pick your punchline - Tilapia

My wife made me tilapia for dinner tonight. I can't eat meat on Fridays during Lent, I usually eat pasta, pizza, shrimp or PB&J. Tonight my wife wanted to test out tilapia. It was pretty good. I think we'll have it next Friday too.

Now that I got that out of the way, I have to tell you about the fish jokes I came up with at dinner. Pick your favorite punchline or write one in yourself.

Q: How do you know your fish is undercooked?

1. It asks you if you've seen Nemo.
2. It swims off your plate.
3. It asks if you have any 7's. when you look at it confused it says Go Fish.

I really wanted to put a picture of Billy Madison up here today, but I actually had a great day today. It was my 3rd wedding anniversary today. Wait, that sounds funny. Sounds like it was my 3rd wedding. Today was my 3 year wedding anniversary.

I sent my wife to see In The Heights with the tickets I won on Twitter. She returned the favor with spring training tickets for the Mets vs Braves. We've been trying to get to this game for 4 years, but something always comes up. Finally, the planets aligned and we got to the game.

The Mets lost in extra innings, but they played well. There were a lot of rookies playing and #23 Chris Carter played great. He has some star potential. Looking forward to seeing good things from him.

It was a good day, topped off with ice cream from Friendly's. Back to work tomorrow, but good news, it's already Thursday.

I didn't see this myself. I stole this from my friend Lauren's facebook. I couldn't get a picture of what I saw today.

I was driving home, hands at 10 & 2, checking my mirrors when in my rear-view I saw a van with the words "ABORTION IS MURDER" across her windshield. People were definitely seeing her message. I saw everyone around us looking into their rear-views and turning around to see it. Unfortunately I was driving and if you know me, you know I'm a safety first kind of guy.

I miss out on so many good pix because of it. The other day I saw a care with Oregano on it's plates.

Pix 66 - A New TV

Today we got a new TV for the bedroom. We're watching the Oscars. One of my favorites just gave away an award. Rachel McAdams. I like her better as a brunette (Wedding Crashers) but she's still great. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin have been pretty funny and NHP opened the show rather nicely.

Hitting the hay now. It's gonna be another busy week.

I made breakfast for my wife this morning. Pancakes and...well nothing with the pancakes, just pancakes. I got creative and made a clover out of my pancakes. I have 10 days to figure out how to make the 4th leaf and also make them green for St. Patrick's Day. I'll keep you posted.

Ah Mandel Bread! My Passover pal! How I love thee. My favorite bread out of all the breads. This is the last of the frozen batch of last years Mandel bread. Clearing room in the freezer for this years batch. Single guys, find yourself a nice Jewish girl that can make Mandel bread and potato latkes and put a ring on it. Little know fact, there was a verse very similar to that in Beyonce's song, but they had to take it out because they couldn't rhyme with L'Chaim. Black Eyed Peas did it just a few months later....BURN!

I share an office with 3 other people. Some people say they whine too much. Properties decided to have a little fun with our name plate. I thought it was pretty funny. Others who share my office lived up to their new title and whined about it. Always an adventure at work.

I moved into a new office today. I'm still setting up, but I have the most important things in place already; pictures of my wife, son and of course a bowling trophy.

Saturday night was game night. We went to a friend's house and I was on DJ Hero most of the night. I won most of my battles, but this match-up was brutal. This kid has skillz. It was a legendary battle that ended in a draw.

Pix 57 - NTC 5K

I did a 5K on Saturday. It was in the 40s and raining. The last race I did was a 10K and that day it was also in the 40s and raining! What's the deal!!!!?!???!!?

I ran a personal best of 28:03 and finished 4th in my age group. I'm happy with that. Next race is in April, looking to cut a minute, maybe a minute and a half off of this time.
